Our team
Our owner and head clinician, Dee, is a highly experienced Candela Medical accredited practitioner, with over 11 years experience.
Dee has trained with Candela Medical & Spectrum Science and Beauty in Australia to specialise in laser therapies; permanent hair reduction, skin lesions and pigmentation, rejuvenation, vessel treatments & laser tattoo removal. She has completed Australian and New Zealand Lasercare Safety Certifications and keeps up to date with laser techniques and treatments through regular workshops and training modules. This industry is fast paced and innovative so Dee is committed to providing the latest and best service possible.

Laser vs IPL

Unfortunately there’s a bit of a misunderstanding between laser and IPL technology.
Laser uses actual laser technology that targets specific, small, controlled areas of skin, significantly reducing the risk of skin damage.
Whereas IPL uses a broad spectrum of visible light wavelengths that cannot be focused as a concentrated beam – meaning, it cannot be focused on a concentrated area. Because of this, the light is absorbed at different depths of your skin meaning it is less effective for hair removal and there is less control in application. This can lead to burns or other negative side effects especially for darker skin tones.
We believe it's important to know what you are paying for and to be aware of the safety and effectiveness of the treatment. So we’ll always be open and transparent about any of our products and machines. You can be sure of the competence and experience of your clinician.
